India’s first voice-activated smart hotel rooms debut at Park Inn by Radisson IP Extension, New Delhi

Park Inn by Radisson IP Extension has launched its voice assistant-enabled smart hotel rooms. Guests can manage basic room functions and service requests with just a tap of their personal mobile phones; without downloading any app. Additionally, guests can now request for services such as room cleaning, wake-up calls, laundry, in-room dining, and room check-out by speaking to the smart device. Saurav Dutta, General Manager, Park Inn by Radisson IP Extension said, “Internet of Things (IoT) & voice-enabled technologies are without a doubt the future and we are excited to pioneer these comprehensive & intuitive smart hotel room features in India. With the voice-activated in-room solutions we expect a 50 percent improvement in housekeeping efficiencies; ensuring speedier completion of service requests. Eventually, the intent is to diversify & grow the connected room features, as part of our on-going efforts to offer bespoke experiences that evolve with the needs of our patrons.” Once checked-in, guests can use their mobile devices to play videos and listen to music, such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube; beamed onto the TV set. Currently in the final phase of restoration, The Heritage Hotel Kempinski Yangon is scheduled to open its doors to guests in spring 2018. Located on The Strand, in the heritage district of Myanmar’s largest city and opposite the new riverside cruise terminal, this outstanding five-star deluxe hotel will define luxury in the city of Yangon. Built in 1927 as the New Law Courts, The Heritage Hotel Kempinski Yangon was created by architect Thomas Oliphant Foster and built by Doorman Long UK, the builders of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, as the first multi-level steel structure in the Far East. AccorHotels has signed a management agreement with leading Dubai-based master developer Nakheel for the expansion of AccorHotels’ globally-renowned luxury brand, Raffles Hotels & Resorts.
