IHG signs Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay in partnership with Tanmiyat Real Estate

IHG has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay in partnership with Tanmiyat Real Estate. Currently operating as the M Doha Hotel, the hotel is expected to be re-branded by August 2018, aligning with IHG’s strategy to grow the Crowne Plaza brand across the region. Dr. Braik Bin Samikh, Chairman of Tanmiyat Real Estate, signed the agreement for Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay with Mr. Pascal Gauvin, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG. The signing ceremony was held at the M Doha Hotel in the presence of dignitaries from Embassies, EU – Qatar Friendship Group, Qatar Tourism Authority, in addition to representatives from IHG and Tanmiyat Holding. 317-room Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay will be the seventh operating IHG hotel and second Crowne Plaza hotel in the city. Strategically located in Doha’s most prestigious accommodation precinct, West Bay, guests will have easy access to Qatar’s financial, shopping and diplomatic districts, as well as views of the city’s impressive skyline. Additionally, the hotel is within 20km of Hamad International Airport for the guests’ added convenience. Hilton to open two properties in Bengaluru in partnership with Embassy Group

Hilton has announced the signing of management agreements with Embassy Group to develop two hotels in Bengaluru. The 500 room dual-branded hotel that features a Hilton Hotels & Resorts and a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in the same complex will be located within the 100-acre Embassy TechVillage Business Park near Marathalli on ORR South Bengaluru. Following the success of Hilton Bangalore Embassy Golf Links and the subsequent signing of the first dual-branded 620-keys twin hotels at Embassy Manyata Business Park, this is the third project with Hilton. Construction of this new hospitality project, which is among the largest in India, expected to begin this year and the hotels will be operational by end 2021/early 2022. The announcement reinforces Embassy Group’s strategic roll-out of hospitality ventures and strengthening its long-standing partnership with Hilton Hotels. An initiative of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in collaboration with French Embassies worldwide and Atout France – France Tourism Development Agency, the global culinary event Goût de France has gained momentum since its launch in 2015. This mega event that pays homage to France’s world renowned gastronomy – that finds place of pride on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List since 2010 – will amass a staggering 3,300 restaurants in 150 countries and five continents that will all serve French-styled menus to its patrons on March 21 this year. Each participating restaurant will donate five per cent of the proceeds of this evening towards a local NGO.
