Jakson opens second property in Jim Corbett

With one boutique hotel in Phaltan, Maharashtra which is dedicated to sustainable hospitality, Jakson Hospitality has now opened its second property called ‘The Tiger Groove in Jim Corbett’ and expects to put the same values into its new offering so that it grows up to influence all its stakeholder similarly. Sterling Holiday Resorts to open second property in Rajasthan

Sterling Holiday Resorts is set to launch its latest resort in Jaipur, taking its network to 34 resorts across the country. This is Sterling’s second property in Rajasthan, underlining the importance it gives to expansion in India’s foremost tourist destination. It has signed a management agreement with Atharva Hotels & Resorts for Sterling Jaipur. Located on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, Sterling Jaipur is spread across six acres of land and is divided into two wings – the Palace and the Cottage. There are 45 luxurious rooms in the resort. It also offers extensive recreational and meeting facilities, which include a conference hall, three spacious lawns, spa and swimming pool, two restaurants, and a rooftop resto-bar. Gaurs Group forays into hospitality, has three hotels in the pipeline

Gaurs Group has entered the hospitality sector with the mission of creating a chain of hotels that would include business hotels, resorts, and 4 or 5-star hotels. Determined to launch their first hotel very soon, the Gaurs Group of Hotels will have two properties at Greater Noida West and one at Ghaziabad. The three projects comprising 200 rooms will see an investment of Rs 65 crore. “Ghaziabad and Greater Noida West lack good hospitality properties. So, we are entering into this new venture with three projects,” says Manoj Gaur, Managing Director, Gaurs Group. While the property at Ghaziabad, comprising 40 rooms, will receive an investment of Rs 15 crore, the two at Greater Noida West (commonly known as Noida Extension) will have 70 and 100 rooms, with a total investment of approximately Rs 50 crore. The group already has a burgeoning list of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, especially among the real estate sector in NCR. HPMF’s 7th convention underway in Jodhpur

The inauguration of the seventh anniversary of HPMF (Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum) took place on September 15 at Indana Palace Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Close to 325 attendees were present at the event. Marigold Capital acquires The Leela Palace Chennai

Marigold Capital, a company that specialises in the acquisition and operations of hotels, has announced its plan to buy The Leela Palace Chennai. This move finally ends the speculation on the acquisition of the 326-key hotel. Post the agreement to purchase, the legal and financial process is underway. The advisor for the sale is investment bank JM Financial. The team at Marigold includes Gautam Chitnis, Chairman and Prashant Palayam, Managing Director, Asia Pacific Investment Group. The Leela Palace Chennai is the city’s only sea-facing modern palace hotel. It has a banquet space spread over 28,000 sqft and varied dining options.
